Several weeks ago, Two and a Half Men had their season premier. Watching this show from the beginning, it has always been great for a good laugh. The show is about a recently divorced man, Alan who moves in with his brother Charlie. Alan is the complete opposite of his brother who works as an independent chiropractor. He is modest and not nearly as successful with the ladies and focuses more on the raising of his son Jake, who stays with the two brothers on the weekends.
Charlie is a party animal who has made his success from song writing. Using his beautiful house on the beach to help bring women home, he is a total player constantly on new sexual exploits. Once his brother moves in with the added part time kid nephew, he is reluctantly forced to tone things down quite a bit. Trying to hide his multiple girlfriends from his nephew as well as his bad habits, Jake always finds ways to turn his Uncle's exploits into his own personal money making exploits especially when Charlie tries to use him to his girl getting advantages.
Over the years, Alan has come out of his shell quite a bit and has dabbled in his brother's way of life, dating women completely opposite of his ex wife who is more of a mom than a late night club scene girl. He even went as far as marrying one of them (Candy), only to lose her once the money was gone that they won the night they got married, teaching him a hard lesson in his exuberance at jumping in at love.
This season introduces us to a more grown up Jake who is more in to women than before. Challenging his Uncle Charlie when the two of them compete over what is a much older woman for Jake and prime younger woman for Charlie, the two of them begin to butt heads. Meanwhile, Alan has fallen for his cute blond receptionist from work. Trying to decide if he should pursue a relationship with a woman that he employs, temptation gets the better of him even though she was previously a one night stand exploit of his brothers. Unable to keep it in his pants, he decides to take the initiative and heads over to Melissa's house. Surprisingly, he is met by both her and her mother, guest star comedian Carrol Kane.
If you haven't seen the show before, it's worth sitting down and trying out. Not meant for kids
