Doctor Who spinoff series Torchwood has gotten the USA treatment. Now airing on Starz, Torchwood's characters have also relocated to the States (Los Angeles, specifically), where they'll continue to investigate the activity of meddling aliens. Welsh field agent Gwen Cooper is back on the scene with Captain Jack Harkness. She's now a family woman, having just had her first tyke, so that ought to stir up the character dynamic just a smidge. The Starz premiere ran last night, and Torchwood will continue to air Fridays on the network. The premise of the series is that the entire world catches Jack's anti-illness, aka immortality. What initially seems like a miracle turns out to have some nastier consequences. Check out the series trailer below.
